Culture: Thrives in part sun to full sun. Likes well-drained soil. Can be grown in a wide range of soils, both acid and alkaline. High drought tolerance. Tolerant of salt spray. Requires little or no care.
Uses: Perfect for landscaping, especially on large properties; privacy screens, hedges, barriers, and as Christmas trees (it is almost non-allergenic).
Foliage: Fine, feathery foliage composed of soft, pointed leaves. Green/blue-green evergreen.
Flower: No flowers
Fruit: Small, dry brown cones, do not attract wildlife; inconspicuous, no significant litter problem.
Trunk: Grows mostly upright and will not droop, no thorns. Needs little pruning. Resistant to breakage.
USDA hardiness zones: 6-10.
Pests: Resistant to the majority of insects and diseases but is sensitive to bagworms and canker disease.
